Sara Ines

I started interning for Prensa Libre in Guatemala as a photojournalist, a type of photography where you need to be able to control any type of light when shooting and have no control over the subject you are shooting. This were I got the ability to catch a moment no matter the light, situation or place.

Later I went on to majoring in Art and Photography at Brigham Young University Hawaii, where I learned, use profesional lighting and other techniques for better shooting my subjects. In Hawaii I went on to working in photography studios and other newspapers, where I worked for almost two years. After that came back to Guatemala and started working on my own as a Sport portrait photographer.

I balance my day job with personal creative work, like resin sculpting, the job of being a mom, as a business administer and a photographer which garnered attention in the last two years. Being the pioneer in Sport portraiture, I have been given the opportunity to work as freelanced for more established companies, brands and studios. This allowed me to work on other cool projects, from emerging businesses to current events.

And last but not least my passion is to promote athletes and health, people who inspire and are an example of sacrifice and hard work, where ultimately, it’s about creating memorable images.
